California - I've been there and done business there and it is tough.

I think that a lot of California businesses think that "being open and
in business" means that their answering service (recorder) is working
and answers the phone.

I was trying to buy some heavy duty trailer parts from a business in
California, Uh we will have them in next week.... Uh, they didn't
arrive... Uh, now what were we doing for you... Uh, oh yeah they
aren't here yet... This has been going on for a month.

Then I get a phone call, "I just found a note that I was suppose to call
you but I have no idea as to why". (I've had a standing order for some
equipment there for 4 weeks and they don't remember who I am!!)

I talked to a neighood spring shop to see if they could get the parts.
I tell them about my California parts experiences. (This is not the
first time.) Their reply: We really try to avoid doing business with
companies in California since they may or may not deliver depending on
how sunny it is that day, week, or month.

The weather in the Midwest may suck most of the time, but at least
business gets done. How California stays solvent, I will never
understand.

At least they can keep a good tan.!?!?!? (8-O)

End of rant...
