The Bridge Classification plate is based on the weight of the vehicle
and the ground weight distribution 4 wheels vs 10 wheels on the ground
(rough guess would vehicle in tons). The Army use to use the yellow
decal with a black number on the passenger door. The M35 Duce is a class
8.

The red "C" stands for combined. Use it if you are towing a trailer eg:
Duce + trailer = trailer combination --- Class 08 + 02 = 10C shown on
the bridge plate. Also take for account the 2 ton load you are carrying
in the back of your duce and the 1 ton of c rats in the trailer.
--- Class 08 + 02 + 02 + 01 = 13C shown on the bridge plate.
Or how about my 10 ton tractor & lowboy trailer with a 24 ton D7 Dozer?
43c

Each bridge in a tactical zone has the same weight class Bridge Plate
Identifier so,, If you are driving a Duce and you come upon a class 5
bridge you better not cross it or you may go for a swim.

The moral of the story is,,
If a M48 or M60 tank is a class 60 and most Bridges around post are
class 60 then,, Would you be over weight with "69" on the front of your
truck that I see that everybody uses??
