M35A2 Deuce Door Latch -- Remove & Replace, How?

Hi All...

I'm trying to get the door latch mechanism out of the passenger door to
replace the spring...what's the trick?

Do I have to take out the window glass?

The TMs don't show the procedure.

I'm driving the Pearl Harbor Survivors' Association Chapter 16 members
in the 4th of July parade in the old deuce, and I want to get the door
latch fixed so nobody takes a spill out the unlatched door.

Joe Young was nice enough to mail me a new spring for the door latch
(thanks again, Joe!).
