M101A1 Info - Age

Can anyone give me a little info on how to find the year of my M101a1.
Plates are gone. Is there anything stamped on the trailer that would
tell me the year?

There is a faint us army marking on it, with a number letter
combination. Would the first numbers be the year ? I don't have the
actual number on hand, but runs something like 69ZO1234.

Any ideas? What years were the M101a1's made ? Is there any
difference in models from different companies?
