Massachusetts Wing, Civil Air Patrol is disposing of two S-280 shelters with
mobilizers. Both are located (duh!) in Massachusetts, but at different
locations.

I've only got photos of one so far, and no interior shots yet, but hope to
have them next week. Ditto photos of the second one. Condition of both are
good. The tires have lotsa tread along with lotsa cracks.
This one had the comm. racks and interior comm. gear removed as I believe
the other has too.

Shelter is an S-280 C/G.
Shelter was used for Amplifier-Indicator Group OG-190/TSC by Collins Defense
Communications, Rockwell International.

 Moilizer is an:
XM830 Dolly Trailer, NSN 2300-00-484-0862
was USAF with a 76K serial number (1976 acquisition date by USAF, not
necessarily the date of manufacture)

This one was hauled in by us to Hanscom 3 years ago and has been moved
around the base a couple of times since.

NOTE THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT TO BACK UP ATTACHED TO A TRUCK. I found
they can be backed up quite easily if unhooked from the truck and pushed
backwards by hand(s) or pulled from the rear by a lawn tractor or jeep and
the front dolly steered by hand. YMMV!

Album name 'Hanscom Mobilzer and Shelter' .

Asking price for each one is $1000 or BRO.

FYI We're not in a rush to get rid of them, so don't bother to call with $50
offers. We know what the scrap value of them is and will go that route if
asking price or something close doesn't get offered.

You can probably find them much cheaper on GL, but these are all together
and complete in (sort of) one location and are looking for a new home. Air
up the donuts and tires, hook up your M35 or Tahoe and go!

Inspection visits re possible (probably escorted by yours truly).
