I had that! Made by Marx. Great toy and the envy of the kids in the old
hood. I was forbidden to shoot it in the house after hitting my mother with
it.

88 tons on 4 axles, my neighbors would bitch about that. I had an
atomic cannon toy when I was a kid (late 50's). I t was about 3 feet
long and it shot a nuclear plastic projectile about 10 feet. We played
with that thing alot. It was made by Remco or Marx, I believe. I wish
I had it back.

There is one at Fort Riley, Kansas which is next to the town of
Junction City. Back in the 70's I stood guard over it on several
occasions while it was in the rail yard storage. It is now on top of a
hill opposite of the Marshall Airfield. When you are driving on I70, it
is directly across the highway from the field. There was a practice
shell welded to the after portion of the gun mount. Believe it or not,
it was found in a creek that runs through the base, next to the
airfield. There was always some goofy stuff showing up in the creek.
