questions and fate of the Army Arctic Land Train

A couple questions about the orange behemoth, the Army's Arctic Land
Train, that was used to supply radar sites in Alaska and along the Dew
Line back in the 1950s.

1. Does anyone know when the land train was used, from when to when?

2. Does anyone have any good, color pictures of this vehicle?

3. Are there any surviving examples of this vehicle, in museums or
salvage yards? I know Bigfoot, Inc. salvaged several tires and wheels
from the arctic land train back in the mid 1980s to use as rolling gear
on Bigfoot 5, the monster truck. Where they got the tires/wheels from,
what salvage yard, I don't know.

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

Mike
