Yep, it's always easier to sit in your easy chair and tell everyone what
should have been done when in fact they have no idea what was done and the
things that got in the way of the correct things being done. My Mother's
family is from a little Parish North of New Orleans and I have been there
many times. The Corps of Engineers has been trying to get the idiots in
both the State and Federal government to let them make changes for years
with no results. The whiners, full of their political correctness and the
tree huggers are mostly responsible for these improvements being stopped and
stalled for so long. They were afraid that it would "hurt the environment"
if the levees were changed in any way! Well how about now people, does this
change seem OK to you??

As for the military getting in there my uncle says that they are coming and
things are getting better but there is still a long way to go. Jesse
Jackson and others of his ilk need to get the hell out of the way and let
the people do their jobs without all of his BS flying around. I'm sure that
the people that stayed behind on purpose, YES, THAT'S RIGHT ON PURPOSE, to
steal, rape and cause trouble will be brought to task for what they are
doing. This happens in every phase of any emergency. They won't all be
caught and certainly not enough of them will be shot but things will
improve. A couple of Cobras would work wonders there in a very short time.
Shots fired, shots returned, problem solved, move on to the next area.
Problem there is not hitting the few that aren't there on purpose, that were
really trapped in that hell and don't deserve anything but our help.

I could go on but I'm sure that other need to flame me for what I've said so
I'll stop for now.
