Sonny; you did not ask me but Tennessee laws do not require RV's to stop at
weigh stations, but not all weight station operators are conversant with the
laws. I was stopped in an RV because I did not cross scales, I told officer
to give me the ticket and I would see him in court, he did, we did, Judge
was aware of law dismissed case.

But in all cases the "Judge" is who decides, as a for instance, Tennessee
laws require trucks with open beds have something to keep loads from blowing
off truck. Mostly for truck that haul gravel and related items. That aside
there is a county in west Tenn. that does not cover the loads on their
gravel trucks and when the gravel blows off and breaks a windshield they
will not pay, they suggest to you that you take them to court, the local
Judges throws all these cases out with the statement that county government
is exempt from this law, which they are not.
