Yes finding domestic is not easy nowadays, and yes you
have to actually look carefully, and yes you have to
ask questions -and make a point to the management
sometimes!!!. Maybe thats the very small price to see
what you're really buying.

But Think about the top statement carefully. Virtually
all our jobs are interrelated.
Bob loses his job at the car plant so he cant afford
to buy the new fridge that bill makes so he cant
afford to buy the quality shoes that Mary makes so she
cant afford to send the kids to Joe the dentist so he
cant afford the new house so Fred the builder cant buy
the new expensive (American) tool he wants (like a
jack say,) so Al gets laid off at the tool plant and
cant afford to buy the new car...and round and round
she goes...ever downhill.

Given the longterm prognosis, can you in fact really
afford to buy Chinese? (Brazilian/Mexican/Indian)

I wonder.
