I will state from the outset that I am NOT a sexist. (Or for that matter a
racist or religious fanatic) However, I have highlighted in your post below
what I think may have been the "problem." As a person who over the years
has always fought for the underdog, whether he or she be such due to gender,
race or religion, I recognize a situation that is all too common with the
oppressed (or those who perceive themselves as oppressed). It is called
"overcompensation", or more simply, "Now I've got a little power, when once
I had none, and I will use it and abuse it."

I could be wrong.
