Where is it registered?

In Mississippi, (when I was down there -- 70's) they would run random
roadblocks to check home addresses against driver's licenses against vehicle
registration. All three had better match.
The various counties had varying road taxes so they wanted to be sure your
vehicle was registered in your real "home" county.
