WTT: M561 Gama Goat

Here's the next installment of my "I want new toys, but ain't got enough
money" series:

I have a running but cosmetically unrestored 1970 M561 Gama Goat that I
hope to restore some day, but realistically, it could be years before I
ever get around to making time to do that. Thus, I'm offering it up for
trade for Something Else that might interest me more. I've made this
offer here before and nothing happened, and I won't be disappointed if I
end up keeping this Goat and fixing it up someday. Still, maybe there's
somebody out there who wants a Gama Goat more than I do, and has
something that I want more than a Gama Goat.

This truck runs and drives. It has always started very, very easily,
even after sitting neglected in my field for a year or more (it needed a
new set of batteries, of course, but the engine caught like it was
driven the day before). I've done minor repairs in the past to get the
horn and lighting working properly. It was missing the alternator and
lower alternator bracket when I got it; I replaced the alternator and
fabricated a home-made bracket out of some hefty chunks of steel. I
replaced the batteries about 2 or 3 months ago,

This truck has one issue which I feel needs to be fixed before it's
taken into traffic again: The brake pedal returns very sluggishly, and
I'm not sure that the brakes are working as well as they could
otherwise. I have both a set of master cylinder rebuild parts and a
complete NOS master cylinder, but I haven't gotten around to making this
fix yet.

There's a bit of a gash in the hull near the largest access plate, so
this truck is certainly not sea-worthy at this time.

Since I'm not hot and bothered to make this truck go away at this time,
I'm not listing a cash price. Feel free to wave cash under my nose if
you *really* want a Gama Goat, but I'm really more interested in a trade.

A working post-WWII US military Jeep or MUTT in comparable condition is
what would get my attention. I've been wanting one of those for a while,
and my gut tells me that one of those could have comparable monetary
value to my Goat.

Other offers will be considered, but don't be hurt if I shoot them down.

If you talk me out of this Goat, it'll include a NOS cab soft top kit, a
NOS tailgate, a NOS surf shield kit, and various other minor spares and
repair parts that I've accumulated for it. I'll even include the
original rusted-out tailgate because I'm such a nice guy. I think I have
some (but maybe not all) of the seat cusions stashed away somewhere, too.

My Goat is located in Riverside, CA. So am I, for that matter.
