Re: M1008 CUCV Break Down - Need some Help please

Here is the report back on my little saga today.

First tried to bleed the air out of the system.
After that I was able to get it to turn over for about 3 seconds and
then it died again.

Checked everything for potential air leaks, but didn't find any likely
suspects.

Replaced fuel filter, since I had a spare.

No joy out of that. Even after bleeding air out and priming filter, all
I am getting into the
bleed bottle is a little dribble.

I am now assuming that I have a bad lift pump.

I had to have AAA bring it home on a flat bed.

Note: When talking to AAA you need to inform them that their dolly sets
are not wide
enough to accommodate the M1008 axles. It is not enough to just tell
them that it is 4 wheel drive.

If anyone has any input on this, please send any suggestions etc. on how
to replace lift pump.
I am assuming that it is straight forward procedure, but I haven't had
to do this for this truck yet.

Thanks to all the people that answered my plea for help! This has got to
be the greatest list on earth.
And I sure hope they managed to get a bouquet of canvass for Ron.
