Maybe somebody had already mentioned this, so excuse me if that is the case,
but the history channel (history.com) has a free email subscription that
advises you of "This day in history". Tells you what significant event in
history happened on any given day. Pretty neat. You can also subscribe to
Mail Call and get notices of special programming.
