RE: Gl auction

Glad I asked.

Obviously, someone is titling these. Either they have a secret source, or
are circumventing the system or are doing it in a friendly state which
allows titles for older vehicles to be created. Or they are in a state
where historic vehicles don't need a title. While GL burns the sf97's
instead of giving them to you.

When I bought my truck, GL had a procedure where they will title your truck
in Arizona for $75.00 Otherwise; I would have purchased $4000 worth of
scrap deuce as far as the people's republik of New Jersey was concerned. I
guess they don't do that anymore, so I won't be buying any more vehicles
from them.

All GL is doing is eliminating the law abiding public purchasers who want a
whole truck they can title in their state. Dealers seem to find a way around
the system. If anything, they are driving the price down by doing this, (if
you can believe that based upon the prices I have seen) and, at best, are
causing people to go out of state or payoff titling agencies to create
titles for the vehicles.

Hey, look on the bright side. I already have my deuce. I guess mine with a
title will be worth more, and there will be more parts around in the future
from people who thought they were buying a parts truck from the G'ovnmnt ,
not a parts truck.

Two words. "Government Contractor"

They blame the government for not giving them the
documentation neccessary to sell it with title.

When the market reflects the value of these vehicles
dropping to salvage\scrap value then they will wise up
or add premiums to purchase which will further dry up
bidders pool. Ultimatley it will come down to lost
money in the way of smaller returns on auction items
to GL and the government to get the issue resolved.
Probably what will happen is GL will stop taking the
vehicles and they will process through the DRMO or GL
under scrap contracts.
