You would need to do an equivalent upgrade on the brakes. The braking
systems on those trucks assume slow speeds. They are primitive one-circuit
master cylinders, with drums. You would need to upgrade to a dual-circuit MC
and discs, if you intend to go fast. It might be easier to buy a truck that
will do what you want.
