I have the same problem with both my 5 tonners.
Haven't had time to chase the air circut yet, but I
did try the trick filling the Xfer case with kerosene
and running it around the farm for a couple of months,
I'm guessing about 20 miles. Then filled it with new
fluid with Lucas additive. Hasn't helped, been a
couple of years since, hope to get on the air circut
this summer, fingers crossed.
