I don't know how familiar you are with Fort Hood, but.....
There are two outdoor museums that you should take the time to see.
Take a camera with you, they are worth photographing.
Right next to one of the museums is the 3rd Infantry Division Memorial.
It has a bronze sculpture that is heart rending. I believe it was made by an
Iraqi.
Take a look, it's worth it....

Subject: [MV] Re PVC pipe and ATF

> Related to the T18 with PVC Pipe. A Few years back a County Codes and
Compliance guy wandered into my back yard. Seemed a nosy neighbor had
complained that I had a cannon pointed toward their house. My first candid
response was "Which One" (I had about ten assorted pieces or various sizes
and at one point you have to place things like that under tarps in any
manner to get them into a small yard as best as possible)
> He walked behind the shed saw two, went with me around the corner saw
another, the front yard had two on either side of the driveway pointed out,
etc. Well long and short of it seems people save these theings up as "New
Years" resolutions to get something off their list of "to do" stuff and he
has to check things out.
> I really wondered why a Codes Compliance guy would come out for a "Cannon
pointed toward my house!" instead of the State or Local Police....ATF,
etc.....
> He went on his way and I assumed the very old (90+) Mother living in the
converted Garage across the street that only had a view of our front yard
was the Busy Body.

> I once drove my brothers GPW with a "WOOD" dummy M2 he had built. It was
so good a General on Aberdeen had once told him he could not have it and
proceeded to chew on him till he got in "...but Sir it's wood...I made it
in the craft shop on post..."
> Anyway some old clown stopped me while driving his jeep and said I
couldn't have the Ma Deuce "Period!" I went off on him about the 2d
Ammendment, Legal rights of non-felons, fact I'm a Soldier, AND oh by the
way,, it's wood.....

> They are all over America, mislead by the media as saving the World from
us dreadful maniacs with machine guns and rocket launchers. It's a product
of our Society now.... In England (God I hate to admit it) they can drive
around in Armoured vehicles and collect LIVE artillery all day long
apparently, and the News pics up on it as a FUN hobby...
> But they can't fire it...and we still can unless we let our guard
down...That's why I display my gear openly every time I can. I've nothing
to Hide... (and ironically the FBI seems to have me on speed dial now
too....)
