Operational GI hummers are no longer being sold by the US government. Since
they do not meet DOT/EPA requirements, they are sold as scrap and must be
destroyed. HOWEVER, some do slip by but not many. Also, for a few years they
could be sold. Also, some rebuildable vehicles are sold that can be rebuilt.
The good running examples I have seen offered are in the $35-40,000 range.
About all the parts needed (if not all) to rebuild a wreck are available
through surplus parts dealers.
