Greatings,

Today I went throught the yard of the local Turck and Parts company and
found that he had alot of military vehicles. I would describe the
condition of almost all the vehicles I saw as rough..most I would say
are good parts vehicles. There where atleast 6 M38A1's, 20+ 2 1/2 tons
trucks, even a M109 shop van and a expando van, 15+ 5 tons trucks,
several dodge power wagons, one looked complete (was painted yellow,
fire service?) he wanted $3500 for, all kinds of engines, winches, axles
(lots of axles), what looked like a chassic for a M48/M60 tank, trailers
of every size, I even found a old M100 trailer for my M38A1 to tow
($500), and on top of a scape heap was a complete M151 (uncut). The M151
looked to have been wreaked in the passenger side rear, most of the
interior is gone, the windshield frame/glass is gone as is the grill.
The boby is full of rust holes, the supension, tires(flat), motor,
trans, and axles are all there condition unknown. What is a vehicle in
this condition worth? He wants $1000. Is it worth trying to restore it?
Are M151 that hard to get that it would be worth it? I'm new to
collecting military vehicles and don't want to get in over my head. Are
part out there?
If you are interest in any thing at the yard let me know.

Cheers,

Mark Richardson
