Too bad, I just wrote to them a few weeks ago and recieved a reply. No
mention of closing.

The Tank Museum, at Bovington was able to find a vehicle history card for my
Ferret. They are going to mail me a photocopy. The librarian, Mr. David
Fletcher, was very helpful. He said that unfortunately the records were
computerized around 1973, so no history is available after that.

Does anyone know of a source to get the computerized records (legally)?

I started dismantling my Ferret interior in order to clean, paint, and
otherwise restore. I have not found any gold sovereigns yet, but did find a
Swedish made, 12" crescent wrench, in good condition.

I also found a small part that I would like to identify. It is an "L" shaped
rod approx 3/8" in diameter. About 2"x3". The long side has a flat square tab
welded on it with a hole drilled in the middle. It is also stamped with part
number FV492394. It is not listed in my parts index.

Does anyone know what this is?
