Hello from Ross Fairclough. The major dropped me out of the list somehow
and I just resubscribed. I wish the major ran my bank's loan dept...
I have recently put up a page for the Queensland Mil Veh Group, and The
QMVG Secretary is rustling up orders for a new book as per subject
line.. The author has firm orders [ie names and addresses for delivery]
totalling 48 copies. Unless a run of 60 first edition can be reached, it
is a no go. Markings are his special hobby. It is not a "commercial"
venture. At the run of 60 copies a price of $60 Aussie dollars has been
set. Read on if you want an expert book on this subject. Part one is
authors descriptions etc. Part two is reproduced Army "Instructions" ver
batim even with typo's. Early stuff has b/w pics. Later colour: 12pages
of pics, 130 drawings. Total 270+ pages. The author is Steve Taubert.
You can contact him during daylight hours (Eastern Standard time) on 07
38867471. IDD would be 61 7 38867471. He has notified Qld Jeep Club
already and has lined some visits to other clubs. You could request more
info for your club...
Also I am on the lookout for Army LandRover in Vietnam pics. Some are
already in our detail section.
Cheers RF
