Hello all,
Now that one of my wheels has fallen off, I am considering changing them all
to a larger diameter version. I
just visited Brandywine Truck Sales and noticed the 5 ton and 2 1/2 ton
trucks rims diameter is the same, 20 inches. Only the profile seems to be
different, the 2 1/2 ton has a 9x20, the 5 ton has the 11x20. This makes for
a four inch higher wheel when meassured from the ground to the top of the
tread, and I'm sure, considerably lower engine rpms for a given speed.
Has anyone installed the larger diameter 11x20's on the 2 1/2 ton, or if
that is too big, say the duals rub or something, is there a 10x20?
Thanks as always!
David
