Hello everyone.

I have noticed (as would you) that we are getting an increase in
"drive-by" subscribers to this list. Heavens knows why they bother
to join in the first place. We have all seen the
frustration in Arthur Kyles postings regarding the procedure
to remove one's name from the list.

Now we are getting some pretty imaginative claims in some of
their messages; the day I start getting 50 messages per day from
mil-veh I will be surprised to say the least.

Lets face it; if they make Arthurs job too hard we may loose
this list. Out here in Australia I regard it as an asset.
So what I am suggesting is we give Arthur a bit of support.

Every time one of these people send a message to the list,
incorrectly asking (or DEMANDING) Arthur to unsubscribe
them lets ALL send them a copy of Arthur's now standard
message on the procedure.

Just so they don't have trouble comprehending what they need
to do, why not identify the e-mail as something other than what
it is, instead of the normal 'How to unsubcribe....', something
like "Congratulations" etc. They just may bother to read 1 of the
messages; as it is obvious that they are not doing so now!

If only 10% of us do this then they will be genuinely able
to whinge they are getting 50 messages in a day!

Thats my 2 bits worth. Arthur or others of you may not agree
with me - that's OK - it's a suggestion and if it is out of
line then OK.

Doug
