MV people,
I own (it is also for sale) a 1952 GMC 2 1/2 ton 6x6 and it is
insured through State Farm insurance in Seattle, Washington USA. I pay
almost $900 a year to insure it. It may seem high but I'm also a 20 year
old guy and insurance is high for me no matter what. For example, I also
have a 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 and insurance for that is $4000 a year,
yes $4000 a year with no accidents or tickets. I switch the insurance
between my 1986 GMC 3/4 Ton 4x4 Diesel Pickup, which they charge me even
more to insure, and the 1952. My insurance company seems to have a hard
time switching the insurance between them and it has caused such a problem
that I'm considering switching insurance companies to ease this process.
If anyone knows of a cheap and easy insurance company let me know. The
1952 GMC just sits about 90% of the time and I drive it when I come home
from school and it is very hard to to get it insured just for a weekend.
Hope this helps a little.
