Some weeks ago I bought a WILLYS MB 12/1944.
The engine hasn't run for about 15 years.
The farmer from who I bought this beauty has been foreseen and remove the
waterpump and the thermostat so the engine would not freeze.
Here comes the problem.
Inside the engine where the water circulates everything is rust.
My problem is :
1) I reinstall the waterpump and thermostat with the necessary gaskets and so on. I refill the radiator with water.
I want to preventive. If I start the engine rust particels will come of and put sharves in the waterpump and Thermostat.
What is the best way to remove the rust without opening the engine.

2) When you have a engine that hasn't been run for about 15 years the first thing to do is to change the oil and other lubricants.
What lubricants can be used for the engine that are currently available from known brands?
In the documentation there was said to use oil of type SAE30 for the engine.
For transmission, transfer case and differentials SAE90.
Are these types we easely find in Autopartshops of the same type appliable or what brands would be the best to use.
Is brake fluid we currently find suitable to use in the brakesystem ?

Any assistance on the above would be appreciated
