M151A2 not in supply line

Good input here from Bob Klein. I don't think the MVPA director's considered
the full impact of their decision. As Bob points out, there is much more
involved than the effect on a few members. The whole validity of MVPA comes
into question.

Thanks Bob,

=======================================================
From reading all the posted mailings about the M151A2, Gamma, Hummer
banishment from the national convention, there is a great concern among all
on the list. I too am very concerned because I am directly affected by this
decision. I joined the MVPA fairly recently because it has great support and
is a great resource for parts and information on those vehicles specifically.
If the MVPA caves into the federal government then my resources and support
are gone and there is no reason for me to remain a member. However, I would
like to hear from the MVPA very soon about the new policy about these
vehicles. I don't want to fly off the handle. What I want is a positive
decision by the MVPA.
The MVPA's statement "this only affects a handful of MVPA members" is not
accurate. If the MVPA is willing to sacrifice a few of its members for its
own self preservation, then so be it. But this will affect all military
vehicle owners in the group. What we could have is a trickle down effect to
many vehicle owners and businesses. Hopefully we will soon find out the
official policy.
Now for my question. In the statement it also states that the MVPA is
declining advertising for these vehicles in the Supply Line. Does this
include part dealers advertising and part listings? Also, will the MVPA
suspend dealers from selling parts for these vehicles at the convention? I
was going to the convention with the full intention of looking for parts. Now
I am not sure I need to go. Please post if you have any details.
