I need some help. Is there a "CORRECT" way to attach the M1938 leather
rifle scabbard to the jeep? I've seen pictures of them mounted on the
driver's side just ahead of the "door" and mirror. I can see how it is
done with the windshield up, but what about when it is laid flat?
Is there another location they were mounted on a regular basis? Are
mentioned in any TM's about how to mount and where?
As a final note, local publicity for your group can work wonders. Both
I and my group have had several items given to us that folks were about
to trash. Most recently, I was given a Feb '44 1/4 Jeep TM by a fellow
that was cleaning out some of his stuff and was about to throw it away
when he remembered seeing my reenactment/military vehicle group on TV.
He held onto it an brought it out to the local airport, where we keep
the vast majority of our vehicles on display. If you're ever in the
