Hi All,
My Ferrets looking pretty darn good, if I don't say so myself. Interior
degreased and detail painted, dummy sten gun hanging, new fluid coupler seal
installed, and license plates.

I stil have a pretty good leak from the left rear inner tracta joint. It
appears to be coming right from the bottom of the "hub", possibly from

Inner Tracta Housing Seal, cat no. LV9ASC/2520-99-815-6736, FV55203
or
TOROIDAL SEALING RING, cat no. LV9ASC/5330-99-815-6504, FV9899

These are seen in diagram F4 numbers 54 and 55 of the Illustrated Parts
Catalog.
Whichever one of these is the actual rubber seal is the one I need.

Does anyone know of a source and price for this seal?

I am contemplating a quick fix for the leak as folows:
Heat up a can of STP Engine Treatment, so that it will flow easily. Pump it
into the housing while warm. Top up with 80-90W gear oil. Hopefully, the STP
will be thick enough to seal the leak, and hold the gear oil, at least while
cool and parked.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Byron
