OK. Now I'm confused. MIG's the best. No, TIG's the best. This is
debate I'm taking great interest in, considering the fact that I will be
soon investing in one of these units to do some reconstructive surgery on
the floor of my GPW (seems a replacement panel is out of the
question--just got a price quote from the "local vendor" of $550 for a
GPW front floor,) as well as other places on the body. I have a Lincoln
AC/DC stick welder and a gas rig, but we
all know I will ruin my body trying to use them. What I need is some
sound advice on how to do this and make it look like no patchwork was
done. I'm also looking for a hand-held spot welder (price of a new one
was quoted at $915 by a welding supply store.) Anyone who wishes to share
their expertise
may email me privately, so as to not clog up the list or bore the other
folks.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mike
