Why the uparmored pig for rescue? Who do the police rescue? Here in CT the
fire dept does that and we've bought them appropriate trucks for the job
(without armor). I'm not one of the paranoid "they're coming to take us away
crowd" but that deserves a small explanation at least; I hope they gave you
one at the meeting when they asked for the 10G's.
I also agree, though, about being involved with your local police and fire
departments to establish good relations. Many towns around here know to call
on our club members if they need a duece and a half or such and many members
are active in guard units, fire etc. One member's duece was even used as a
mobile billboard in a recent election for his uncle. Certainly got everyone's
attention! (FYI: his uncle won, must have been the truck).
