[MV] Tracked Jeeps?

Does anyone know anything about the use of tracked Jeeps during WWII,
and later? I know the M151 had a set of Mattracks slapped on it for
testing in the Arctic, but these would be much earlier. If anyone
has the Crismon book on tracked vehicles, could you look through it
and see if there is any photo or info? I looked in my copy of the
wheeled guide by Crismon, but there was nothing.

The last time the tracked jeeps were used was in Korea during the Korean War
at the Battle of Inchon -- used to get the Hell out of there. First time
used was in Africa during WW2. Apparently the tracks looked like serpentine
belts and used serpentine gears bolted to the hub in place of the wheels.

Anyone on this?

Thanks,Greg
