I have been following the recent discussions about engine swaps in an
M-37. A few months back this was also discussed on the web page so you
may want to check out the archived list for old messages. In my 3-4
years of reading, I have read about a Perkins diesel,Detroit 3-53 and
countless 350 and 318 engines being put into M-37's . Rob Sexton wrote
an article about the transplant of a 318 into an M-37 in detail in Power
Wagon Advertiser so if you decide to follow that route you should
defintely check it out.

For my 2 cents worth if you are into diesels what about the 6.2 diesel
engine. It is only 30" long and 24" wide and are available as mil
surplus.

Just a suggestion.
Rick
