[MV] Informational posting to MIL-VEH list

This is an automatic posting of information about the mil-veh
mailing list. Tuck this message away for future reference. It
describes the list rules, how to change your subscribed address,
how to unsubscribe, and how to switch your subscription to the
digest version.

HOUSE RULES
There aren't that many rules, and those few are basically common
sense. Follow these and we'll all be happy. To keep the message
traffic flowing smoothly, please keep these in mind when you post
to the mil-veh list:

Do not quote extensively from a previous post. Instead, be sure to
edit the previous poster's message to the absolute minimum necessary
to indicate the topic and then add your comments.

Do not post messages in MIME, NeXTmail, or HTML format.

Be sure to write a descriptive Subject header for your message. If
you don't, people are less likely to read and respond to your
request. Furthermore, majordomo will not add [MV] to the Subject,
and those who sort their mail based on that tag are more likely to
miss your post.

By default, replies are directed to the original poster. There is
good reason for this. If you reply to the list, there is no need
to also reply to the original poster.

Please include your general location when offering something large
for sale.

Please do not send mail to the lists with a Read Receipt
requested. It generates unnecessary traffic and is considered quite
rude by some.

Finally, do not post personal attacks (if for some reason you feel
compelled to flame someone, take it to private e-mail).

Follow these simple rules, and all will be well. Thanks for your
consideration. BTW, we reserve the right to unsubscribe you if you
violate these courteous, common sense rules, or for no apparent
reason whatsoever. That said, these lists are for your enjoyment.
We run them as a service to the Internet community.

POST ONLY FROM YOUR SUBSCRIBED ADDRESS
To reduce spam and drive-by postings, only mail sent from an e-mail
address that is a member of the list may post to it, so be aware
of what e-mail account you are using.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIBED ADDRESS
To change your address, you must first UNSUBSCRIBE your old address
and then SUBSCRIBE your new address. Follow this two-step process:

1) Unsubscribe your old address by sending a message from your *old*
account to <mil-veh-request@skylee.com> with the single word
UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of the message. Do not put anything else
in the message. Leave the Subject blank.

2) Subscribe your new address by sending a message from your *new*
account to <mil-veh-request@skylee.com> with the single word SUBSCRIBE
in the body of the message. Do not put anything else in the message.
Leave the Subject blank.

HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE
You can leave the list by sending the single word UNSUBSCRIBE in
the body of your message to <mil-veh-request@skylee.com>. Do not
put anything else in the message.

HOW TO CHANGE TO THE DIGEST VERSION
First, subscribe to the Digest version by sending the word SUBSCRIBE
to <mil-veh-digest-request@skylee.com>. After you have confirmed
your subscription by return e-mail, unsubscribe from the regular
list using the method described above. Digests are usually mailed
out daily, at 3AM Pacific time. Digests may go out earlier if they
exceed a certain size.

If you still need to contact a human, e-mail <postmaster@skylee.com>.
If you are having trouble subscribing or unsubscribing and expect
to receive help, don't simply say "It doesn't work. [Un]Subscribe
me." Forward the error message you are receiving and a clear
explanation of what you want.
