[MV] timing is everything...

hi folks!

i'm about to set the timing on my m-43 and i noticed there are no
numbers with the pointer.
i figure that i'll remove the #1 cylinder sparkplug and crank the
cylinder so its at the top of the stroke,
make a mark at the pointer on the main crankshaft pully, replace the plug
and then adjust the
timing with a timing gun until the mark is alligned with the pointer. it
sounds logical to me
but i'm wondering if i have'nt missed something. is there a timing
window by the flywheel?
how do i find the right numbers?
thanx a bunch.
