I have a paper inline filter installed between tank and pump on all my =
vehicles (WWII Dodge WC51 and WC62 included), and have never experienced =
any problems with it. The original fuel filters wont stop anything, I =
found rather big pieces of paint from insides of gas cans in my =
carburator. But the original filter is OK for separating water from =
fuel, which the paper filter dont, so the combination of the two works =
good. Of course in winter Norway condensation of water in the gas tank =
is a greater problem than vapour lock.
