My M-37 experienced the same sort of problems that have been discussed about
the M-38. It would get a mile or more from home and quit. Finally tracked
it down to gunk in the gas tank (after two new fuel pumps). I found out that
those Caustic Soda Beads we were talking about on the paint removal, did a
pretty good job on the gas tank trash. Still didn't strip the rust, but
removed all the loose stuff. Then added a pick-up tube filter in the tank.
Works great now. Cautions about gas vapors are very accurate. Very small
amounts of gas can become very flammable, very fast.

Part Needed: Friend of mine needs a back seat for a M38-A1, anyone got a
spare?

Parts Available: Found a very small supply of new 24 volt military electric
wipers, with arms (long arms). Man wants $20 US each plus shipping. I've
got two and I have two for Ben Hughes, anybody else need some?

Tom Campbell - Birmingham, Alabama (Hot AND Humid)
