Steve..... It sounds like your pin holes are ready made for this stuff! I
have a 43 GPW that has been really abused, I used deck seal with the
fiberglass screen wire in all of the floors, & on top of the fenderwells.
It doesn't completely cover the screen pattern, but leaves a nice texture
after you paint. I have never tried mixing paint with it, but was told it
works also. I got the info years ago, it was called "arobal" then, they
quit making it for a long time, but started again, as deck adhesive. I
have had it in the floor of my jeep for two years, and on my rear porch
for a year, it shows very little wear from foot traffic. The nice thing
about it is, it dries to the touch in a couple of hours, and hard
overnight. You can remove it, but it takes a bunch of sanding. The guy that
turned me on to it used it for sealing his deckhouse on a commercial
fishing boat, so far I have found it impervious to gas, oil, etc I don't
know about acid, but I know my jeep fills up if left out in the rain! Like
I said, don't want to sound like a salesman, but this stuff is the best
kept secret ever! Its cheap, non-toxic, washes up with water, & is
paintable, what more could you ask? If you decide to try it, let me know
what you think! Good luck,
Dale
