If you can date it, you can get an idea of whether it was gas or diesel. =
Prior to about 1960 =3D gas, probably. If used, you could probably tell =
by the smell. Otherwise, you may have to get hold of Perfection, if you =
can. Painted OD, and made by perfection, it probably is not aircraft. =
Combustion heaters were used in a a variety of military and civilian =
airplanes tho, ranging from Beech Barons to C-117's. If powered by =
gasoline, be sure to make sure the combustion chamber has NO CRACKS prior =
to firing it up. Failures in aircraft of this type often make the part of =
the aircraft where the heater is mounted disappear rather suddenly.

Hi, I have a combustion heater, made by Perfection, Model 510-1A. It's
cylindrical approx 8" dia (20cm) x 28" (310cm) long. Painted olive drab, =
no
date or contract number stamped on nameplate (space provided) but is US
Property. Box on top seems to have igniter setup & is 24volt.

Is this MV or aircraft, if so used in what? What fuel does it burn? Any
help appreciated.
