Hi Van,
The military version would be stamped on the pad behind the oil filter on
the top of the right (passenger) side near the front of the block with
MBxxxxx or GPWxxxxx. The pad above the water pump stamped CJxxxxx or Jxxxxx
indicates civilian production. Which particular casting number and such would
be correct for your month/year of production is best answered by the guys on
the list that specialize in that level of detail. Where are you located?
Someone near you may have what you need "under the bench". We have a Kaiser
too (but not running) in a '43 GPW.
