Hello list,

some might find this interesting.

Was watching the discovery channel and they had a documentary on WWII ships.
They were talking about a Nazi plan to sink the Queen Mary with 12,000
soldiers aboard. Unbeknownst to them we allready knew about there plan and
the ship changed course ect. Being in the area the planes that were supposed
to bomb the Queen Mary decided to bomb the H.M.S. (???) I forgot the name of
the ship. It was a Merchantman. Anyway they sunk it.

The ship has been located and is now accessable to divers. The show had
divers on the ship and guess what they were carrying. Vehicles. The ship was
loaded with trucks and motorcycles. They showed the trucks which were in bad
shape. I don't think that my Jeep was in much better shape when I got it
though. The motorcycles, which you got a better look at, were in much better
shape. The tires looked brand new and they were all standing in line tied
up. Paint was still visible not covered in corral or growth. There were at
least 5 of them in a line and from the tone of the show there are more.

So if anyone on the list is also into diving and is looking for a vacation
try this ship in the red sea. The name should not be that hard to locate in
a dive book or history book.

Maybe you can find some parts that you can not find above water. Just watch
out for all the unexploded artillery rounds strewn everywhere.
