I have a Willys MB (probably around 1943). The original plate with
the chassis number is missing. But my hood number was still there:
20230372. Is it possible to identify approximate chassis number and
delivery date from this?
Also, on the rear panels over the rear wheels (where usually the white
star
goes), I found the USAF marking; white star with blue 'wings', and the
red stripe as found in postwar USAF. I have never seen this on a
vehicle
before, when would this be used?
