[MV] Useless, completely useless. 8-)

We all tell people how good our vehicles are, after all why collect
and restore them if they don't appeal to us? Military equipment is
normally made to the highest available standard and relatively well
maintained whilst in use, most of us know this from bitter experience -
it is usually the reproduction aftermarket bits that breaks when we are
driving the things.

Despite this most of them have some feature, part, accessory, or tool
that is plain useless. You know the sort of thing, it was useless years
ago when they made it, and it hasn't got any better in the intervening
years. Let's have suggestions for the most pointless / useless / badly
designed and / or manufactured piece of kit that was part of pride and
joy when issued.

I'll nominate a couple of them to start;

The drivers door on a WC53 3/4 ton Carryall.
Canvas winch rope covers on anything.
Deck-mounted hand bilge pump on a DUKW
Capstan winch on a GPA or Weasel.

Any other nominations ?
