Hi Raimondo welcome to the list,

'The First Military Machine Scene', published by Bruce Main-Smith in
1978. It is a well illustrated book covering the first 'Don-R rally',
in 1977. Most of it by the famous military motorcycle collector Titch
Allen.

If you are not familiar with the 'Bruce Main-Smith', publishing
organisation......they are unquestionably the worlds biggest scource of
motorcycle related published information.

For your interest my first 'Don-R', motorcycle was a Royal Enfield 350
'C', which I bought in 1953. And my last a 1939 D.K.W in 1993.

If you are in to German Military Motorcycles, I would say that Harvey
Hoare, who now lives near Chelmsford Essex is probably one of the worlds
leading authorities. He also has original drawings for most, and
manufactures components and special military ancilliaries to the
original spec's. He has also researched and made dies to stamp out
vehicle number plates appropriate to correct year and field use. It is
virtualy impossible to speak to him direct, you have to pass several
interrogations by his wife (a German language tutor from Danzig, who
speaks in the loveliest dialect of German-English).
