When I restored my GPW I used 5/16" all thread and Heim joints, (AKA
rod ends) that are used on riding lawn mowers and gocarts . I found
the Heim joints at a small engine repair shop for about $4.00 ea. It
sure isn't original, but there are no bends to make and there is no
chance of wear.
