to eliminate guess work, you need to verify fuel pressure at the carb. put a
guage on the fuel line that feeds the carb & compare it to the original fuel
pump spec.(probably somewhere between 4 & 7 psi.) If the electric pump
produces more than OEM spec, than you need a regulator. If not, then carb work
is in order! REMEMBER: SAFETY FIRST!
