Hi List from Naples, Italy!
The movie "Kelly's Heroes" has been done in Yugoslavia, it means a
lot of T-34 available for conversion to "Tigers" (better choice than the
M47!). I do not know what happened after the movie has been terminated but
I think that the added (wooden?) superstructure has been removed and the
tanks returned back to the Yugoslavian army.
When I first saw the movie many years ago (too many!) I was at the
beginning in the hobby and I believed that the "Tigers" were real ones!!!
If the movie has been shot in Yugoslavia there were a lot of Tigers left by
the Wehrmacht (Andreas: is the spelling correct?)... and repaired/recycled
by the Yugoslavians! Later, I realized that the "Tigers" were T-34...
Well, I was so disappointed...
