My friend did the GMC V6 conversion. His name is John Jones. I will try to find
his telco # for you. The stock xfer has an over-running (sprag) clutch for
forward and one for reverse that engages the front axle. You MUST tell the xfer
which one you want to use. There is a linkage to the transmission. It is the
same way with the early M35's.

You need to be careful with the power you apply. Too much and you will have
axle problems. An auto tranny with the torque multiplication might be the wrong
thing to do. A large V8 might be too much too.

For the clutch, you must use a hydraulic pedal conversion probably available at
spped shops.
