I found a COMPLETE collection of military manuals dating back to
the early '40's at the University of Nevada, Reno. When I pulled
the manual on a M1010 I had to tear off the paper band! Most of
the manuals also still had the bands on them or were tied with
string. You can check them out if you have a card. The cards are
free to students or $25.00 a year for non-students. I made my
copies there at .10 a pop. or 12 for $1.00.
Call your local libraries and ask if the have a "Government
Section" then check it out. The index was on microfiche and the
clerk showed me how to use it. It's amazing what is in those
manuals! Looked at manuals for HUMMERS, M1A1 tanks and mobile
missile launchers.
Good Luck,
Buzz
